I know that working in groups can be a little daunting in a regular classroom. So, in the virtual world it can be really intimidating. I have come up with a list of guidelines that I expect all to follow in this course. In doing so I know that it will make things much easier and simpler for everyone. So, as you are doing your project be sure to follow these basic rules, relax, and have fun!
- Bond with your team-members. Yes bond. Reach out to interact with your team members.
- Clearly identify the work required. Never, never assume. Be very specific in what you neeed, want or require from a team member.
- Be a good time manager, Coordinate time.
- Develop a communications plan.
- Admit it when there is friction between group members. First admit it, second attempt to resolve it, and finally when all is else fails bring it to the instructor.
- Have respect for each other.
- All group members should do an equal amount of work.
- Be open to compromise.
- Your group should have a common understanding of goals that need to be achieved.
- Be happy in the group you are in.
